PT6.1 and 192 dig out into DA88 via TDIF
Was wondering how to resolve the clock issue when connecting the 192 digital out via TDIF into DA88 with a proper digi connect cable. I have tried blocking the Word clock in on the DA 88, as well as Ext clock out of the 192 via BNC to word in on the DA 88. Is there a way to get the Tdif specific menu box in Hardware setup that used to be in PT5.3. to be in PT6.1.

Re: PT6.1 and 192 dig out into DA88 via TDIF
Hello,
The option to choose "Word Clock (TDIF)" is still available in Pro Tools 6. You can choose “word clock (tdif)” in the external clock output menu in the Hardware Setup’s Main tab. Folow the directions in Abase 7981 when transferring from Pro Tools to DA88s via TDIF. http://answerbase.digidesign.com/detail.cfm?DID=7981 You will neeed to use a T-connecter on the DA88 and place the terminator on one end and connect the wordclock output of the 192 to the other. This is outlined in the abase above. Hope this helps. Mike |
