Re: How to add presets to a waves plugin
Yep Knothardly is right on. What a mess! You used to be able to locate the factory preset folder, which would have made this task doable. But now the factory presets seem to be built in to the plugs, so you have to manually import each one to its respective plugin into the user presets. #nothanks

Re: How to add presets to a waves plugin
well you can still find the folder... what i was referring to is you would have to go through them all and practically hand carry each file to it's plug's folder. seems they could have made an installer of sorts or an executable compressed file to unpack them in the correct locations.
but you are right about one thing (and it is not only waves) plug developers are trying to hide preset folders and such lol i only look at presets when i get something mainly just to quickly get a taste... if i find something decent i take note and use it as a starting point to start tweaking. but if you want to fight with it... it probably has some good presets in it. i just didn't think it was worth the effort. cheers jay

Re: How to add presets to a waves plugin
Hey Jay... are you on Waves V9? I have been a Mercury user for years and I used to used to be able to find the Factory presets folder. No longer the case with V9 (at least on Mac). I've searched high and low! Waves app folder / Docs folder / Application Support etc. Even a search for a specific preset name comes up with zero hits when searching system files.
Any insights on this one?
