Default OT-Good cheap mics

OK guys!
Way off topic but, I could not resist.
I just finished turn up on a studio for a very budget client and well he kinda startted running low on cash as the studio was getting finished. Well, he found himself short on cash for the details, if you call mics/stands/cables details. Anyways, he really just need a super "Bang for the Buck" type solution and he bought one of those Nady drum kits. He did pimp for the better one of the two kits they sell. Upgraded condensers or something I think. So, he invites me over for the big first session (i.e. Him and his brother and they needed an engineer) Funny huh? Well, I still got paid and man those mics sounded ok! I mean you get 7 or 8 mics for like $169. We used the sm. condensers for OH and the kik one for kik and those drums sounded good. We also tried one of the snr mics on a gtr cab but, trusty the 57 won that battle.

Just thought I would pass it on. Many mics little dough. They also feel solid and come with some nice mounts.

No they are not Neumann OR AKG, they are $169
Musicians friend I think......Believe it or not.

speaking of, just got the musicians friend catalog. the oktava mk-319 is only 99.99. that's a deal. if you're looking for a cool, cheap LD mic, get this. also get a studio projects c1, $199, those are two pretty good colors for not a lot of dough.
