I said could, as in... there are options beyond the global enable/disable that we can consider. It would be better if this is a big enough concern to first ask users to trim their sigs down and perhaps move info (and link to) their profile.

No offense to all you signature people but it is a pleasure to not have to decipher through all the different font size and multi colored texts to read the actual posts! I feel like a fool for not investigating the settings to turn this off sooner! Also discovered that you can change the posts per page to up to 40 but 20 seems to be the sweet spot for me.

Of course! This is Avid's forum. Why wouldn't there be an arbitrary limit to things? Maybe you need to free up some voices?
