Midi beat clock disables recording
I have Protools 10.3.9 / Vienna Ensemble Pro 5 and Im using the stand alone application on a slave windows machine and protools on 8 core 3.0 mhz mac pro.
I have outputs of the slave going through Motu 24/I and into Protools 003 rack inputs so the audio is not networked. Midi is connected with the Protools 003 midi port to slave machine and I have selected midi clock sync in VEP5. Everything works great until I setup "midi beat clock" for the slave machine to sync arpegiator patch. When I select midi beat clock in protools, the input monitor on Protools stops monitoring when recording, and its not related to offset settings as you can record for 5 mintues and no signals will show...Any ideas? This happens only when recording a track that has Midi Beat Clock Enabled. I have also tried this with midi through network connection and it has the same effect, the input signals in protools get disabled with Mid Beat Clock enabled.
