Recording an Effect - 100% Wet
Is it possible to record the effect of any given plugin without a signal passing thru it? For example, adjust the settings of a plugin, record the effect it's creating (as an audio track), combine that recorded effect to a given track and get the same results as if the plugin was an insert on that track?
Hopefully I explained that well enough. |

Re: Recording an Effect - 100% Wet
Well that’s what heat does.....but not exactly like an effect
I don’t believe this tactic will work out

I think it's also similar to the way the Acustica Audio Aqua plugs operate.. and maybe even convulsion reverb? |

That sounds like what audiosuite does. "Effects" plugins, along with everything else your computer does, are basically just math. An algorithm is applied to a file that is digital representation of program material. There isn't actually any signal flowing through anything in the box. You can apply an audiosuite process and have it create a new clip, but I don't think it would sound the same if you mixed it back in as just processing the file itself. The math would generate different numbers basically

Convulsion reverb - that's the sound you get from the after effects of drinking too much and making use of the bathroom.
