Getting Started w/Pro-tools
I have just purchased the digi 001 system running on a Mac G3. I also have an MPC2000, Triton keyboard and a Mackie 1604 mixing board. How do I get started? How do I connect them to work correctly. I've tried several ways and haven't been able to make it work. Can someone help me please.

Re: Getting Started w/Pro-tools
I would refer to the Getting Started booklet that came with the 001. On page 25 (of my copy) they outline how to hook up the components of the studio.
The other suggestion I would make is to plan on taking a lot of time to master the ins and outs of ProTools. People talk about the ease of mastering the interface, but it took me a while. I think that is true of any new interface. If you don't understand the ins and outs of ProTools software, you won't be able to hear the sounds even if everything is connected properly. Persist. It is worth the work. |
