Flying parts between two sessions.
I've tried googling this but can't seem to find a good explanation, and the manuals I've seen just explain copy/paste in the same session. Maybe I'm not describing it right, but it seems like basic stuff. I'd like to take a guitar solo out of one session and drop it into another. Running PT 7.4. Copy and Paste doesn't seem to be it, because after I copy the part, when the second session is opened, paste is greyed out.
I'm sure an explanation is posted, just having a little trouble finding it. Appreciate it.

Re: Flying parts between two sessions.
On that same note sort of. When I transfer midi parts between sessions, which worked no problem, I am unable to manipulate them like I'm able to do the non-midi tracks. How do I grab and drag midi around once they are in the new session?

Re: Flying parts between two sessions.
This is probably a dumb question, but do you have the midi tracks in the new session set to the same track view (blocks, notes, etc.)?

Re: Flying parts between two sessions.
No question too dumb for me, I have not changed the view.
