Uninstall 12.4 before installing 12.5 on MAC?

If so where is the 12.4 uninstaller?

It does not say much about having to uninstall first...

Installation
Pro Tools 12.5 is a full installer (not an updater that requires a previous version installed).
Pro Tools 12.5 uses a single installer for both Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD, only the iLok authorization is different
Virtual Instruments and Effects for Pro Tools 12 are installed by the First AIR Effects Bundle and First AIR Instruments Bundle (formerly a single Creative Collection Installer in PT11). Run these in addition to the Pro Tools installer. (more info)
Pro Tools HDX/HD Native Mac users, be sure to install the matching HD Driver. The HD driver may be found in the Driver Installers folder included in the 12.5 download.
Non-HD users, please install the latest compatible driver for your Avid interface

Uninstall 12.4 driver >restart>install 12.5driver>restart>install pt 12.5 on top of 12.4, works for me..goodluck

Download the Driver installer from your account. When you open the .dmg file there's an uninstall app. You don't need to though I don't think. The old one just gets overwritten.

There were no installation instructions with the 12.5 download so I just went ahead. Two days in... just one crash. So far so good.

This is not correct. Avid do not provide an uninstaller now, and haven't done so since PT11.

To uninstall simply move the following files to the trash to manually remove Pro Tools from a Mac system:
Mac HD/Applications/Pro Tools (app)
Mac HD/Library/Audio/MIDI Patch Names/Avid (folder)
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Propellerhead Software/Rex (folder)
Mac HD/Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio (folder)
Mac HD/Users/home/Library/Preferences/Avid/Pro Tools (folder)
NOTES:
- The Audio folder contains "Plug-In Settings", "Plug-Ins" and "Plug-Ins (Unused)"
- Most 3rd Party Plug-Ins are also installed in this "Plug-Ins" folder. Please back up the folders or just move to your desktop if needed.

With respect.. They appear not to. Not for Mac anyway.

To the OP...given that it's no big deal to uninstall first then I would recommend it. I've had no issues, and I know most have also had no issues... But some users *have* had issues... At least by uninstalling first you can guarantee that you're taking any possible problem there out of the equation.
