Default Fixed: No input signal? PT2018.10 and UAD Apollo TB2 units

Recently I backed up my system and upgraded to Mojave knowing that while PT was not yet certified, I could always roll back and I am daring that way. I did it first on my mbpro and let it run a week or so before I committed to doing this on my mac pro. I did deal with the gotchas of getting my eucon stuff all working and PT played my sessions back nicely so i thought ok all good. However today I discovered that I may have the worst kind of bug in that I can get no input signal from my apollo 8p quad or my Twin quad. The session plays back just fine and so I did the usual blow away the io and reset to default. Then I started trying different inputs from spdif (kemper) to Apollo 8p channel one then the twin channel one. None get a signal input no matter what I try or what input I select. Its showing a strong signal in the UAD console and playback from PT to UAD console shows and is controlled as well. Has anyone come across this? I would like to try to fix this before I roll back. Please dont just say you should never upgrade til avid says its supported because that I know but someone has to find and fix these issues. :) I did go download the latest 9.7 UAD update but that didnt do anything here. It appears to be within ProTools. Thanks for your time. Peter

Check UADs site about Mojave. It should work. I upgraded and it had worked so it isn’t clear why it isn’t for you.

Dude you are the best! It turned out that I needed to enable the microphone for ProTools. When I looked up the article you referenced they had a picture of that and I looked and sure enough it was not selected. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction. Peter

Apparently for OSX versions above Sierra you must enable the microphone input in the Settings to be able to record. I updated to Mojave, had the same issue and I'd never heard this. Changing it immediately resolved that issue.

Why isn't this prominently noted somewhere? Or is it & I just missed it.

I had never experienced this before either. It annoyed me but at least once I saw the pic from the UAD article I got it fixed right away. I think this is more apple locking down how things get access but yeah Avid should give you a popup to enable it...
