Angry 192 i/o no contact after replacing card

I replaced the digital i/o card with a used analog input card. After inserting the card, the contact with the 192 is gone. The unit is lit up and running but no contact, even after rescan. When removing the card, the unit works.

What can this be?

Card damage?
do i have to throw pref files because the unit looks after the digital card?

any suggestion, anyone....?

Default Re: 192 i/o no contact after replacing card

Only one of the four slots in the 192 can be used for any of the three possible cards: A/D, D/A, or digital. The bottom right opening will accept any of the possible cards, but the other three slots will only accept the factory defaults: upper left - A/D, lower left - D/A, upper right - digital.

The 192 will work with any two of the three factory cards installed, provided they are inserted in their correct positions. A second digital card must be inserted into the lower right opening.

Hi!
Ok, this was useful info. I did not have a clue about this. So, my idea of having 16 analog inputs does not work...
