Default ProTools works: Blue screen after shutdown

I just got Pro Tools LE 8.0.4 to finally record on my Windows 7. I'm using Mbox mini and saving to an eSata external drive. I've succesfully recorded twice now and within 5 minutes of closing Pro Tools and ejecting my 2 hardware pieces I get a blue screen and a restart.
This certainly could be related to any of the 3 components here but I'm not sure how to isolate which it is and/or how to fix it.
I was thinking maybe it's related to some of the Windows 7 optimizations that the site lists and I've only done some of the basic ones since I had finally gotten it to record.

So overall, good news is I can use Pro Tools in Windows 7 and it works fine. Bad news is I seem to always have to allow a blue screen/restart to occur within 5 minutes of finishing my session.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have the ultimate answer, but do have some suggestions. First, post a Sandra report. Read this for more info on it:
Help us help you - what you need to know before posting!
then, instead of ejecting, maybe you should shut down and disconnect until you get the problem figured out. Are you running as admin?

Shutting down and then undocking is probably a good idea and will avoid the blue screen however it doesn't solve anything as I'd like to obviously be able to close Pro Tools without a restart, whether it's through blue screen or on my own doing.

Some more specifics about my computer...
Dell Studio 1458
Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium, 64bit, English
Intel Core i5-430M 2.26GHz (2.53GHz Turbo Mode, 3M cache)
4GB Shared Dual Channel DDR3 at 1066MHz
320GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Disk Drive

Again, the software works and I can record, etc. This is only occuring after closing out and undocking my Mbox and external drive.

In that thread is this statement, copied exactly as it is there:
Quote:
Windows users need to provide a Sandra report

- Please - Use SiSoftware's Sandra Lite application to generate a full system profile:

www.sisoftware.co.uk

Under SiSoftware Sandra, click on "Download & Buy" to download the free Sandra Lite version or purchase other versions. After installing Sandra, click on the 'Hardware' tab and run the 'Computer Overview', then copy and paste into your post here on the DUC.

The more information you can provide, the easier it will be for Tech Support and other users to assist you - take the time now to document everything you can and you'll save time in the long run. We can't express enough the importance of describing everything in extreme detail - remember, no one here can see how your gear is configured, so we need an accurate description by you to get a clear picture. The better we can envision your setup, the easier it will be to troubleshoot.

If you have been referred to this thread and reply without providing the information requested above, including the Sandra report for Windows users, your post is very likely to be given lower priority in favor of those who have provided complete information.

I would like to direct your attention to that last sentence: "If you have been referred to this thread and reply without providing the information requested above, including the Sandra report for Windows users, your post is very likely to be given lower priority in favor of those who have provided complete information."
