Maybe if you had gotten an Android phone you wouldn't be having the problem :^)
Seriously folks, if all you can come up with is strip down all software and drivers or build a dedicated DAW for a trivial task such as audio recording, that's pitiful. I've got five or six computers lying around already. If Avid can not deal with an open platform like Windows and requires a closed system to function, then that should be specified. I would have no problem with that, it's just that it's not 1995 any more and I expect a program at least to launch.
And that's all the time I want to spend.

No use wasting time with this putz. I'm reminded of a scene in Cool Hand Luke with Strother Martin's character: 'What we have here is a failure to communicate. Some people you just can't reach'. We've tried to reach out to the op but he still refuses to give us any kind of system info. Or even better I reminded of a line in Airplane (the lady who talks jive - Barbra Billingsley I believe): ' chump don't want no help chump ain't gonna get no help'.
