Default Launching Session Causes Duplicated Audio Files

I've searched around through the forum and was unable to find anything related to this. I apologize if this topic was covered elsewhere.

Every time I launch my session every audio file in the clip list is greyed out and a task begins called "Processing Audio". It goes through every file in the list and creates a duplicate file "Filename.1.wav". (adding ".1" to the file)

I've even tried starting from scratch with only a single playlist. Import 1 audio file. Save, Close. Re-open session and it duplicates the file in the same location. Which by the way is under Audio in the session folder.

Also..Session and audio files have matching bit-depth.

I'm obviously missing something here... Any help on this silly issue would be greatly appreciated.
