Mac OSX 10.5.8 combo update
Hey all,
Did a quick search and again couldn't find an answer: Is the Mac OSX combo update for 10.5.8 safe to install for Pro Tool LE 8.0cs3? I've been working on a project for the last six months and was in no way going to update and potentially make sessions unusable. Also, can someone give me the lowdown (or link) on the most current version of PT8? I keep getting Digidesign's notice that Critical Updates are available, but when I checked on the latest version, 8.1 I think, the new version was going to make the old EQ II and DYN II plug-ins unusable (am I right?). Is that correct (still). I've also got a version of Snow Leopard sitting in its sleave, but I won't install it until I KNOW Pro Tools is solid with the new system, AND all the work I did in PTLE 8.0cs3 will transfer to a new version of Pro Tools and OSX. (Anyone else like me update too soon from PTLE 5x to 6x and get burned?) I'd appreciate all support you all could offer. Thanks. Chris |
