ALSO MAJOR FOOTNOTE!!!
If you've manually offset any of the track within the session (see this track delayed by 900 samples (photo attached) it totally messes with track freeze and commit. The secret is to *bypass this offset (not mine is greyed out) THEN do the commit or freeze. Took me AGES to figure this out... *click on the field you want to bypass (in this case the middle field where it's diplayed 900 and press crtl+alt+cmd (OSX) |

This is why I always have my MIX window set to show delay compensation. That also is a warning(to me) when a mis-route something and suddenly have 2000 samples of compensation for no reason at all(one bus send to nowhere can wreak havoc)
