003 Console Not recognized (windows 10)

Am having difficulties getting pro tools to identify my 003 console in windows 10. It also seems unable to locate properly in the device manager.
The 9.0.8 drivers are installed.




My eleven rack however works fine.
Does anyone know a fix for this?

Try choosing the TI Compliant driver for the firewire card. While the Legacy driver is recommended(by Avid) it NEVER worked for me on 3 different systems. Also, keep in mind that you are in uncharted territory with Win10 Fingers crossed for ya

No joy with any of the existing Firewire Drivers.
I actually had to track down and install the legacy Firewire driver separately as it does not come bundled with Windows 10.

I am using a p67 mobo (sandy bridge) with onboard firewire. I could try borrowing a PCI firewire card and see if that helps.

The whole AVid/Digi ecosystem makes me pull my hair out. (eleven rack known to give me just as much grief as the 003 at times, like it doesnt work at 44.1khz)

Windows seems like a complete afterthought.

Does anyone know where the .inf file may be installed after installing the 003 driverpack?
If I could manually locate perhaps I could click on 'have disk' and then install...

The rig I built with a P67(asus P8 P67) mobo required a new firewire card. The on-board fw never worked with the 003. You never mentioned the cpu, but my build on that mobo was an i5 2600K and the entire machine was a complete bust for PT(hope you have better luck)

iLok software comes from ilok.com. Given windows 10 is not supported yet, are you using iLok 1st gen, or iLok2? If you have the old key-shaped iLok, it might be worth moving your assets to a new iLok2(you're gonna need it anyway at some point).

I think the Digi 003 not work because the only Fireware PCIe card that is officially qualified with windows and Pro Tools is by CHIPSET TEXAS INSTRUMENTS, at least what I know. others chipsets perhaps maybe not work. See the picture, fully qualified by Audio Interfaces Fireware (Presonus, Avid...) Try buy a pcie card fireware with chipset Texas Instruments. I hope help you. Good luck :)
