Default HELP please. Macbook Pro won't run native

Running Pro Tools 9 on Macbook Pro intel core i7. Had no problem running native after install but once I updated drivers to use my Mbox 2 Pro, I now cannot go back to running native. Pro Tools seems to keep looking for the Mbox even though I've gone into Sound Pref and changed to Core Audio, etc.

Thanks in advance for help!

DK

Yeah you need to set the playback engine to "digidesign aggregate" in Pro Tools. Not in system preferences.

I can't even open a session native. When I launch it I get the message "Pro Tools could not initialize the current playback device. Please make sure that the device has been configured properly"

Hold down the n key while starting Pro Tools and you will be able to choose a different playback engine.

For others that may have this issue, this is linked from the Driver Updates page under "Troubleshooting & Technical Alerts":
