upgrade pro tools instrument expansion is it worth the money

Hi

How much ekstra do you get for the money,
I do have full structure for LE and strike and velvet.
How much ekstra sound do you get in Structure and will
you keep your old library ? Is there a good piano for Structure...

I should be able to upgrade for 199 because I have the full Structure
I just wonder if it is worth the money.

I upgraded a couple days ago and am still on the fence. I didn't have Strike so for $199, it was a nice addition. I had all the others though and don't know huge differences in Hybrid and Transfuser yet. The addition of FM to Velvet is nice, and I'm finding that Structure is importing a bit better than previous versions, although importing Giga seems to be somewhat of a mess yet. Instruments that have keyswitches get import as different instruments, so attempting to import a Giga harp instrument for example ends up loading as about 12 different instruments to accommodate the keyswitch layers. That doesn't help you be able to play them, but I'm still trying to scope this out. Structure does load immensely faster than before and some of the new content is good. YMMV though.....

Personally, if you're keeping with Avid/AIR Plug-Ins then five current VI for $499 USD even without the upgrade is worth it.

I paid the $199 as a Structure owner. Structure and Velvet were nice additions. Velvet is better than expected. Really nice. Structure is better with the file finding. Those patch lists from airusersblog finally work.

In a word: YES!

Transfuser is absolutely great, a workstation within a workstation.
Upgrades of Structure and Strike are very valuable too and you keep all the old content.

I meant to say Strike is a new plug for me. Learning it.

As for Structure, it now opens Giga libraries and old SampleCell libraries great. That Chicken Systems purchase turns out to have been wasted. I'm loving having access to all these sounds which were lying dormant. Structure is pretty happening imo. Worth the upgrade price.
