Pro Tools 11HD Trial - Retrial required

Hi,

Would anyone from Avid care to entertain the possibility of relaxing the restriction of one trial per iLok?

I ask because I have already used the 30 day free trial which was basically me finding out that I couldn't compare it to PT10 due to there not being enough plug-ins yet to actually open any of my sessions.

I would like to trial it again in the future when it is more useable, at which point I can tell how well it works with my hardware and whether it's worth giving away my CPTK.

Otherwise the trial will actually cost me $50 for another new iLok and a dummy iLok account.

ps. ilok.com appears to be offline again and the licence manager won't connect. Is that the same for anyone else?

+1 - I was very excited to try PT 11 and got the trial the first day...and used it once because basically no plugins I owned were PT11 compatible. I'd love to try the trial again in a couple of months when more plugins are compatible and some additional bug fixes have been made. Hard for me to justify spending $600 for the upgrade without that...

It's only one trial per ilok account, because if you could do more then why would you buy it?

Of course, nothing prevents anyone having multiple ilok accounts but that's another story.

Fair point, but I won't be buying it without testing it properly. Maybe Avid can make exceptions on an individual basis?

I've never been worried about upgrading before, but this time it's very different. I've never had to give up a $2000 toolkit before with no hope of getting it back if things don't work out.

And having multiple iLok accounts is no good unless you have multiple iLoks.

Just saying if there are no exceptions you can make one by yourself if you have 50 bucks to spend :P

Noted JFreak, I suppose I'll be needing a second iLok2 anyway for ZDT purposes.
