Default Please don't drink & drive

Almost three weeks ago my wife Nancy was killed by a hit and run drunk driver. The driver was caught and faces some serious charges.
I am devastated. Today was the first day I even looked in on my favorite site.
Life can be real hard sometimes.

Very sorry for your loss! Words simply can't express what the heart wants to say.

Jimi, what dreadful news... sending all sorts of good Antillean vibes your way. However inappropriate this may sound... I know exactly how you feel and it caused a tear in my eyes. I too lost somebody close to me, because of a drunk driver. It's something one just can't explain... if there even is an explanation at all. It fills your mind with anger, sadness, grief and sometimes even scary feelings of revenge. I spend my days with the gift of some fond memories I can hold on to, for the good things will stay with me forever. Hope you and your loved ones find some piece of mind soon.

And... it is a known fact that DUI often makes your vehicle a lethal weapon. He who handles a lethal weapon automatically becomes a killer and should be prosecuted as one. But before anything, we should all be aware of the dangers involved, for prevention beats regret anytime.

I wish you strength buddy!

I would think most people here are lost for words. What can you say that's adequate? But believe me everyone here's feeling for you, they just don't know what to post.

It must be real hard for you right now. But it might be worth remembering that you won't always feel this bad. One day you'll see the sun set and it will look good again, like it used to, and it'll surprise you.

Best wishes.

You hit the nail on the head, Karel. I've been wanting to post my condolences, but I'm at a complete loss for words.

No words can really console at a time like this, but know that myself and my family are feeling for you and understand your pain. Strength to you and your loved ones affected by this tragedy.
