I'm a little worried that we maybe damaged the electronics inside the MCpro.
When you were working on voltages, were the symptoms I described the same (milky screen, no boot at all).
On the other side 25000 U$ piece of gear shouldn't be that fragile.
Yes I had the milky screen at a very specific voltage

Pinout on new MC Pros
A,B,C=+5V
D,E,F= Common (5V)
GHJ +12V
K,L,M=Common (12V)

Pinout on my MC Pro
A,B,C=+5V
D,L,K= Common (5V)
GHJ +12V
E,F,M=Common (12V)

Be warned, I am not a qualified tech!

If you repaired your PSU, the pinout should be correct still.

If you have to go over the recommended voltage, chancs are you need to swap the commons

Hi everybody
I was able to fix it!!!
Here the story. It seemed that my technician hit the right capacitor, although we didn't have any schematics. Well Done!!. But the unit still didn't want to boot.
I started writing support question and of course nobody! was answering. No Dubai, Japan, nothing!! (we are in Namibia). I dont even want to mention the CA HQ. No answer.
Until I contacted Mark Rose from Avid UK (thank you Mark) ( I think he was still with Euphonix). He had send me a handbook and was guiding me step by step until we solved it!
It might help other users.
After the PSU failure you have to reset CMOS!. Contact Mark for the handbook.
Even then, if you still have problems with the TFT you have to plug in external VGA. The BIOS is waiting for user command, and you won't see it. From there its easy. If it boots it boots.
Thank you Steven1145 and klaukholm for support as well. I'm by the way ordering the PSU from Germany anyway.

Back to work !!!

I am glad your problem is fixed. I would'nt want to loose the system 5-MC for a day. We have a spare power supply (a noisy one) just in case but sometime I am thinking that a spare MC Pro and a spare fader pack (408T) would give us real peace of mind. But this peace of mind would come with a price...

It is classic german engineering!

I believe you will save money in the long run, as this PSU is built to last
