Default why does my hardrive randomnly not work??

Get the old message, "not set to playback" pissing me off. I delete prefs etc, restart, sometimes fixes sometimes not. for some reason it just doesnt work sometimes - like now! [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]! These glyphs cost a bomb so it better not be [bleep][bleep][bleep][bleep]ed.

Have you formatted the hard drive to work with Mac and then set it to be a record and playback volume?

The drive is in HFS mode which the pro tools / mac thing.
Even though it says "audio files is not on playback, it bloody-well is. THey lying.
Might try the mac os extended, however it seriously is already on that.
