Student Edition "can't find hardware"
This is my first experience using protools 11. I've previously used protools 8 m-audio version, and I'm use to seeing this prompt when my m-audio box wasn't plugged in. I was under the impression, though, that the student version of 11 had no required 3rd party hardware in order to work. If anyone can clarify exactly what "hardware" protools is looking for, it would be greatly appreciated

Quote:
You need to describe what you have done, and what exact computer and OS you are running on. What install instructions are you following? What interface are you intending to use? What drivers have you installed? Pro Tools 11 *does* requires an interface, either an external interface or an internal ASIO compatible sound card or ASIO4ALL with a WDM based sound card on Windows or CoreAudio internal interfaces on Mac. If you are on a PC, post a Sanrdra report as described in that link above. |
