002 buttons no longer work?

Today the stop, play, record, mute, every button but stand alone is offline. (On my digi 002)

Faders still work *Within protools*

Protools 8.05 LE.

Any help please?

EDIT: just restored windows 7 from a backup with a fresh clean install of Protools LE and the entire mixer, no buttons work at all!

Fresh projects same, no buttons but the standalone!

If the faders still work and Pro Tools runs okay(with audio passing in both directions), I would try changing the firewire driver. While Avid recommends the Legacy driver, it never works for me with my 003. The TI Compliant driver works fine. Go to Device Manager and right-click on the 1394 device and update driver, then choose "Let me choose from a list"....

Thanks, the TI driver appears to fix it?

At first boot up the "ESC" button by channel view was lit up and nothing worked.
When I hit the ESC button every thing works.

albee1952, just went out for a beer and came back and the digi 002 is audio in/out just fine but yet again the buttons wont work at all.

Its curtains for this unit I guess.

EDIT: Weird, I opened a blank project just now and its fine again?
Is this stuck button related?

One note, and im sure im confusing things bad by now...
The only thing to change in my system was the addition of SPDIF external pre amp set as master clock or other spdif issues.

Maybe the session is corrupt? Try save as copy?

Might be worth re-seating the harness
