Maximum Tracks
Hey Everybody,
Pardon me if this question has already been answered. I ran a few searches and couldn't find anything about it. I'm going to be doing a recording soon with 6 friends at my place, and I have never used protools essential for more than 2 so far. I'm wondering how many tracks essentials can record simultaneously because obviously that is a huge part of what I'm trying to do. Also, will I need to find a 12 input m-audio interface, or will any interface with a usb connection work? Connor

Pro Tools Essential only supports 2 simultaneous tracks/inputs. You would need to upgrade to the full version of Pro Tools MP, which supports 18, and you would need an upgraded interface with enough inputs.
