Default Journaled Drive

I'm replacing a G4 for ProTools 6.41 and OS 10.39. The new box has a 160 gig system drive but it says it's, "Mac OSExtended (Journaled).

Somewhere in the back of my head I seem to recall something about NOT using a journaled drive. Is that right, or is it OK to go ahead and install ProTools on it as is. If not, how do I get it to NOT be a journaled drive?
Thanks,

As I recall, the general idea was to do so with the system drive, but not so for your audio drives...

from 10.4 and on ... PT7 and on ... recommended for all drives is 'journaled'.

everything before that : uncheck 'journaled' ... even for the system drive if I remember correctly.

FWIW, I'm running PT 6.9.1TDM with OSX.3.8 and format 'journaled' on ALL drives. No problems.

Journaled here, too. No issues.
