I'll break the tie, usually 7-zip. Occasionally the built in Windows one if I mis-click..

Doesn't relly matter, they'll all extract the same files.

For extraction it doesn’t really matter.
For compression try avoiding winrar, as every time I’ve received corrupted session or wav it was done with winrar.
Use built in windows tool instead, “send to - compressed archive” or 7zip.

And I'll put the tie back. Winrar for me, though I honestly can't say that either is better.

7-Zip or Windows built in. I prefer 7-Zip to "compress" files because the Store setting does zip files, but doesn't do any compression.

All of my recent work related laptops have had 7zip installed, and I myself prefer to avoid anything that begins with Win, be it WinZip, WinRar or Windows

7zip is free and fast,
you can also install it with winget

admin terminal:
winget install -e --id 7zip.7zip

NanaZip uses the 7Zip libraries and is more compatible with the new windows 11 file explorer. https://sourceforge.net/projects/nanazip/
