Default Batch fade out on SAME TRACK

Hi,

I would like to know if I can take the 200 clips I have on the same track, select them all and make a fade out that will apply to all those clips?

The only thing I found was with CMD-F, it would apply a fade in AND a fade out... I only need a fade out.

It's easy doable on different tracks, but I can't seem to find the way to do this on one track.

Thanks

I would like to know that too... but I guess its not possible...
Often I do a strip silence on a Kick drum and like to do a quick fade in (3-4ms) and a slow fade out (+/- 50ms)
But the Batch Fades only support a single time length for both in and out.

Hope someone brings up a smart idea

I'm sorry but this is simply not true. If you set 'Link' to 'none' you can move the in/out fade curves separately. You can't unfortunately enter a different numeric value for the 2 fades, the length will be that of the entire window. An unfortunate quirk of doing fades in this way is it will draw the fade line of the full length of the fade even if the individual fade you set was shorter. The attached screenshot shows it better than I can explain with words.

So I've done a 300ms fade out, with a fade in around 100ms. You can see on the waveform it has actually done this, but has drawn the fade in point as though it is a 300ms fade in.

So I admit there could still be a better implementation, but batch fade in/outs of differing lengths are NOT impossible.

Hi,

I don't need different length fades, but just batch fade everything on the same track.

My workaround is this:

Yep.

But what I do when I clean kick drum tracks, I simply use the default 10ms fade after properly set up Strip Silence tool, so I don't affect the kick sample very destructively. Then later on, I sculpt the sound with a gate (which is now a sound design tool because unnecessary stuff has already been cleaned away...)
