Default ProFire 610 'cannot locate hardware' in PT, but works in Logic and iTunes.

I have a ProFire 610 and it was working fine for a while, then suddenly Pro Tools wouldn't recognize it. Not sure why.

My system prefs recognizes it, I can play youtube and iTunes audio through it. It even works in Logic, I can record thru it and listen out it. But ProTools will not recognize it as an interface, I always get the 'Cannot locate hardware' error.

I feel like I've tried everything. I uninstalled/reinstalled the m-audio drivers. That changed nothing. I uninstalled/reinstalled Pro Tools M-Powered. I even bought a second ProFire unit and reinstalled the drivers and PT again, still nothing. The second 610 acts the same, works with Logic and Safari and iTunes, but not with pro tools.

Any suggestions?

To be clear, I have a legit version of Pro Tools M-Powered with a licensed iLok, that will work just fine with my other interface M Audio FireWire Solo. So I know that Pro Tools is working, I just can't figure out why it can't see the 610. They use different drivers, and I have tried uninstalling both and reinstalling just the 610 and that still doesn't work.

Just tried using that ProTools Pref And Database Helper program and trashed all the digidesign databases. That also didn't help.

Quick question for you, what are the rest of your system's specs? (i.e. operating system, additional hardware, etc.)

Compatibility link at the top of the forum, then Pro Tools M-Powered for Mac OS X Compatibility Grid

The ProFire 610 is supported with Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0 and higher
