Default Neyrinck plug in for encoding/decoding Dolby E

Hi all

I'm looking in to getting the Neyrinck plug in for encoding Dolby E.

From what i've been reading it sounds great. Just wondering if anyone out there has used it and if it's as good as it sounds?!

Can there be an audible difference between different Dolby E encoders ?

I think not!

Anyhow, we use the Dolby DP600-C, so we shoud be beyond doubt.

The only disadvantage that I can see (which I have passed on to Paul) is that you cannot monitor or emulate the stereo fold down from 5.1 using your meta data - which is what 90% or so (I would guess) people in the UK who watch the sky HD platform hear if they do not have 5.1 audio, but only have stereo.
This COULD mean that if your metadata is wrong-you wouldn't know until off air - clients have walked from facilities for errors like that......

Food for thought

Right! We have the Dolby DP570 just for that. I'm constantly monitoring the stereo downmix emulation and have even changed the metadata info because of it.

If Paul can set that up, it should be AWESOME. I've got both his AC3 and DTS plugins and they work great!
