pro tools hd 11 and komplete axx... not working

So I downloaded the free trial for pro tools hd 11 and no effect or virtual instrument from my recently purchased komplete ultimate 9 is working.

Meaning.... If you buy the upgrade, you wont be able to use any plugin you already bought, even those that were design to work with pt hd 11. What then... they make pro tools 12 and charge us an other 700 bucks for it to finally work? or they make us pay even more for costumer help.

Unless they guarantee the functionality for us costumers for the tools we use to create and produce music I don`t see how anyone would dare to buy this.

If you had done your research you would realize that many plugins are not yet compatible with PT11, including Native Instruments. It needs to be AAX 64 bit, not just 32 bit.

Done the research, installed the 32 and 64 bit and not working, so what else is new.... hmm not working yet.

Tell me then, have you personally been able to install those? And, please remember, mr nst7, that being condescending is clearly useless. No one person has absolute knowledge but the only way to improve is by asking the right questions and having a bit of humility to accept the new knowledge.

The question is simple.... How to make it work.

The derived question is simple... If it doesn't work.. why does avid charges us, paying costumers, in order to help us? Shouldn't it be included in their product price tag?

Actually you have not done your research.

Native Instruments is not AAX 64 bit so no it's not going to work in Pro Tools 11.

You got a problem with that you should go to NI's forum and ask them why THEY do not have AAX 64 bit plugs, its not Avids fault.

Your comments to nst7 were totally inappropriate ... he was a) trying to help, and b) telling the truth.

It is you that should have some humility and apologise.

Native Instruments has so far released 64bit AU and VST plugins, and 64bit standalone applications for its virtual instruments. It HAS NOT released any 64bit AAX format plugins, which is the format required for Pro Tools 11. It has released 32bit AAX plugins that work with Pro Tools 10.

as others have said, komplete is not yet in 64bit aax, if you want to use it in the mean time, you can do so by loading komplete 64bit vst in reaper and rewiring it into pt11.

Reaper+1 and Plouge but Plouge 64 only loads 64bit VSTi. Reaper best. I love being able to drag midi loops from ez drummer in Reaper onto the PT11 edit window. It's almost seamless.

Thanks to those of you out there that cared to find a solution. Reaper seem to be the way to go.

Now allow me to apologize if anyone felt offended. I was, as many of you have been before, frustrated and pissed at pro tools. This does not justifie anything, but , as many of you might know, brings out the worst in us.

In the other hand, allow me to say, that I was present in the release conference given by avid for the launch of pro tools 11. It was their spokesperson that assured me that all plugins from Komplete 9 ultimate would be available and compatible with pro tools 11.

Native Instruments usually gives this kind of update free of charge, and they are closely developing the aax 64 bit format, but this does not entitle the people at avid to give a sales pitch with false information.

At least for me, if the plugins don't work, I wont buy. And the false statements given by them make me more skeptical from their info.
