PT 10 stops loading at "VariFi.aaxplugin"

Cant find a PT plug in folder. Or the reasoning behind spending this much money and having the the time of my life. lol sorry for the sarcasm, just not too happy. again.
Could it be a .dll file?

Trust me if you no your way around where things are in PT it will work like a charm. There is a folder on your C drive that's says Plugins its there trust me I think its in program's Avid or it may still be in digidesign I'm not at my PC at the mo so I can't remember correctly. Find the 2 .dll files that are the offending plugin and move them to the folder that says unused plugins

There are many posts on DUC describing where AAX plugins are stored in Pro Tools 10, so many I am not going to repeat it here yet again. You can find them with search.

And there is a "Help us help you--read this before posting" link on this page. Read that and the standard troubleshooting links provided.

The advice to load a utility to trash prefs etc. is not what I would have given. This is standard Pro Tools troubleshooting skills that are not too hard and every user should be able to do them without needing a third party utility. How to do that is described under that help us help you link,

I found the actual file, like u said, It was there. But in this case its not a .dll file. its an AAXPLUGIN file. Program files/ (x86)/ common files/ avid/ audio/ plugins/ "VeriFi.aaxplugin"/ Contents/ Win32. Tried to throw it in Win 64 and checked, nothing. Since this file is not a .dll file, whats the recommendation at this point? thx for your help BTW. really appreciate it.

Move the verifi.AAXplugin to the "plugin unused folder" trash prefs again and see what happens!!

Almost there I can feel it, cant locate the "Plugin unused folder". I'll continue looking. Should I just make one?

It's in the same place as the folder that says "Plugins DAE"

I feel like Im taking crazy pills here man. The only plug ins folder I can find is what is labeled as a Shortcut amongst a bunch of .dll files application and resource files. The shortcut leads me to the file folder which contains said folder. I cant find the Not used file. sounds weird but thats whats going on.

If you can wait about an hour ill be in the studio and go through it on my PC, in that time I'd try to do a fresh clean install see what happens
