Reminds me for windows users that Avid didn't support Vista and jumped to 7 etc etc
You can look at Protools 9.x and see that Avid stopped making upgrades at Snow Leopard. Again, I wish they would keep Protools 10 updated to the latest OS (Are you listening Avid?), but history is not on my side.

I've been in the computer industry a long time. I'll simply throw out a few product names for us to think about: Lotus 123, WordPerfect, Dbase III, Appleworks, Netscape, etc. At one point these were the industry standards in their respective categories and it was inconceivable that they would be toppled. By not keeping up with the changing Operating Systems they were easily supplanted by other products.

Obsidian Dragon,I see your point. you are absolutely right...xaxaxax....but as we see from updates perspective,Pro tools 10 has more updates than other version....so this makes me feel that they still working on it and keep customers satisfied......

If you think 10 is still getting updated I have a bridge to sell you.

We shall see? This is old news, we have been seeing, and what we have seen is no update.

Time to shell out for that PT 11 upgrade I guess! Fortunately I'm not in the midst of any projects right now so perhaps going to 11 and waiting for the update is my best bet. The amount of work involved in reverting to an older OS is just too much for me to handle!

They're working on it, that's what I know. What takes so long is what I don't understand...

Avid totally skipped Mavericks with PT10, so I'm just not sure what makes you think they'll jump to update it to Yosemite. Of course, stranger things have happened throughout the history of human civilization....but not many.

Are you certain? There's also been a lot of noise to the contrary. Because it's taken this long, and knowing Avid's track record, my uninformed gut says that there won't be another update to 10.

I cannot say anything more than that I know they're working on it. Take it as it is :)
