Voice allocation in ProTools LE
Hi,
can somebody enlighten me regarding voice allocation in ProTools LE.To start off here is what I am using. ProTools LE v6.2.3 with a Audiomedia 3 card (thats why I have not upgrade my ProTools software any further then my present version),G4 800 MHz 1.2 GB of ram OS 10.3.7 I know that you can run only 32 voices simultaneously in LE but when a voice is free it can be allocated to another track (which is done automatically). Is this right or am I reading the manual wrong, cause in sessions I have, only maybe 20 voices that are being used at the same time by different tracks, but the total number of tracks exceeds the 32 voices available. And I get a track greying out.I have moved tracks around in the edit and mix windows cause that how you give a track priority. So when you have a "hole in a track" that voice is then free to be used by another track. Is this right. Re: Voice allocation in ProTools LE
There is no dynamic voice allocation or voice sharing allowed in LE... This has been discussed here before -- I'm sure a search of the phrase "voice sharing" would find the threads.
