Default Recorditor: Recording Editor for Pro Tools

Hi all,
I'd like to to announce a new product from Quiet Art:

Recorditor is a standalone app that controls Pro Tools play and record functions and allows you to drop smart markers which then automatically edit your recording, sifting through good and bad takes.
In other words, it allows you to edit what you are recording while you are recording.
Something you probably didn't think you needed.

It's designed to assist during wild dialog or narration, audio book, IVR, text to speech etc. recordings.
Requires OSX 10.9+ (High Sierra not supported yet) and Pro Tools 11&12.

Check it out : http://quietart.co.nz/recorditor
Intro price is for a limited time.

cheers

Any chance for a Windows version?

Thanks. I'm hanging out for Defaulter for PC as well. :)

I think it looks good... I just can't tell how it works by the video.

How do you change your mind on the fly?

Where does it cut the take, between markers?

Can you make decisions in play mode as well, or just record mode?

I couldn't find any documentation either.

In the process of making another video that shows how it works a little bit clearer.

If you dropped a good marker and the reader said I'll do a better one for example, before you drop another marker you can change the decision of the last marker with Command + 1, and Command + 2 (keep + delete)

Yes, so you need to actively drop good markers and bad markers.

Yes you can

There is a manual in the .dmg and this also gets installed in Library/Application Support/Quiet Art/Recorditor

Cheers

It'd be nice if you had a choice between "Commit" deleting the bad takes, or cutting them from the work track and moving them down to a 'junk' track

Yes indeed.
The alpha version had exactly this as default (actually, moved the good takes to another track)
However, this process took a long time to complete during commit.
So we scratched the idea.

On the next version we may have the option though.
