Default Sliding region contents

Whenever I slide the contents of a region I have to deal with the clicks until I find the right spot. Then I fade it and it's all good. I'm just wondering if there is a workaround for this so that I could slide the regions contents while avoiding clicks. I was hoping I could do the fade first and then slide, but that doesn't work b/c the fade vanishes as soon as you start to slide it.

Is there a better way?

Default Re: Sliding region contents

There is no auto zero crossing detgector in Pro Tools.. and usually a small fade works fine without much work. You can nudge the contents of a region without changing it's start and end time by using the Start modifier with the numeric plug and minus keys. Nudging will remove any fades (as you noticed).
