Default Question about linking a Yamaha keyboard

I had an avid support tech work with me recently and during the session getting my Pro Tools 10 up and running, he managed to get my keyboard, a Yamaha PSR-S710 up and running and even playing on the Pro Tools software. When I got done and rehooked up everything, my laptop with the Pro Tools on it won't link up. The USB-MIDI driver works, but the computer doesn't recognize the keyboard when it's attached with a USB cable. Can anyone give me some advice on this?

Hi,

What computer are you using? Pc or mac and what operating system?

Make sure the keyboard is turned on before Turning on your computer?

Have you managed to set the midi input on a midi track or instrument track ok? If you have instrument view selected! You can check which midi input is selected and if your keyboard is showing in the midi input list.
