PT LE Crashing on Startup

Hi all,

Long time PC user, but having problems today trying to get an MBOX running on a PowerBook G4 12" laptop. I've installed PT 6.4 (updated to cs9) and have followed the troubleshooting thread with no luck. Protools either poofs (unexpectedly quits) upon startup or within 30 seconds of starting. I've gotten as far as creating a test session on the desktop. Any suggestions? A search on the DUC only led me to the throubleshooting sticky. I appreciate the help!

You should give us more specifics on the system than just the screen size. The OS version and amount of RAM are pretty important and may be the root of your problem. Post some of those specifics and I'm sure we'll be able to help.

Forgot to mention the macine is running OSX 10.3.4 and has 640MB RAM... (thanks!)

i share your frustration man, i just got a g5 quad power mac with 2.5 gigs of ram, and i cant even run protools, all of a sudden my authorization code digi gave me when i updated to 7 from 6.8 isnt working, ive been racking my brain to try an figure this out for the last 5 days....

goodluck i hope you get your system running, its a shame not being able to use protools, its like i lost an arm or something

I actually really need this to work as I need a portable system to gather location backgrounds for an indie film project. Any chance an upgrade to Tiger (OSX 10.4.X) and PT7.X would solve this or should this system technically work, as is? As far as the compatibility docs go I think this should be running just fine...
