+1 To be honest with you I have so many plugin's it's has really become redundant. A good price is not enough reason for me any more especially when I have way too many plugin's that pretty much gets me to the same place. Spending a little here and there adds up after awhile. I've now moved on to investing into more hardware.

I agree that it is a smart thing to consider the fact that many of us have almost too many plugins. I would submit, however, that the technology is constantly being advanced for the better and that the decisions about new purchases should be based on listening to the demo versions and deciding if in fact the new plugin sounds better or does something better than what we already have.

Ahh... The big dilemma.

Hardware rules to certain extent, but when it comes down to which EQ/COMP/VERB/ETC to use, things get interesting.

Just today I was rushed to mix a band due to primary mixer feeling sick. I came to the venue and all they had was a Yamaha LS9-32 (which isn't bad). However, I found out that this desk doesn't work if any of the eq bands are over unity. It also compresses like 8:1 when you dial 4:1 so you basically cannot do anything with it, except manage the balance.

THIS lead me to re-think how valuable good software algorithms really are.

I agree but at this time I have many plugins IMO that are better in many respects than the $149.00 VMR bundle. Now VCC and FG-X is another story altogether but I have all the other sLate Plugs as well. I'm just waiting for AAX64bit. Im not really impressed with current plugins in the new VMR rack. Don't get me wrong there not bad, there pretty good actually. If I didn't have what i have I might be tempted. But from my stand point I can put that money elsewhere.

After selling my waves platinum because I had too many plugs, I have tried to keep things minimal. Then waves started having weekend deals lol. Guess I could sell my v-series bundle and put that towards vmr. Then I'd have neve and ssl in one box. Once they add VCC to it, I'll be fairly covered on "analog" gear. Maybe slate will add API and trident EQ's also. I really like softube's trident eq. Just never bought it. Anyway I'm in no rush. Slate puts his plugs on sale every other day.

It's around $82 at the moment. A good sounding little eq.

That was to stem the tide of angst from the delay

When VCC comes out in sure the sales will be fewer and farther between

Looks like it's a fix for an AMD Phenom CPU issue and a 10.6.8 fix.
