my dv toolkit 2 doesnt seem to be working right with 7.4.2

can anyone help.when i open a quicktime movie in pt the time stays the same and also the cursor doesn't move with song.i thought maybe it didnt work because i didnt have the latest installer ,but installed dv toolkit 2 for 7.4.-setup-macpro quad 2.88-4 gigs of ram leopard,mbox 2 mini

DVTK has no baring on being able to play a Quicktime movie

things to look at are scrolling options and MIDI/click count off in the Transport window

sorry maybe i wasnt clear enough,but the quicktime movie plays but the cursor doesnt move while playing movie or the numbers on transport dont move either.its like the movie is playing but everything else is frozen,cant edit ,cant see levels on meters,its frozen

what is the Video Priority setting, set to?
if on the highest setting the GUI will not on most rig I've seen

QuickTime Movie Playback Performance Options

The Operation Preferences page provides three options for QuickTime Playback Priority:

Normal This setting gives no extra priority to movie playback over other screen update tasks such as metering, moving faders, and so on. In most cases you should use this setting.

Medium This setting gives QuickTime movie playback a higher priority relative to other Pro Tools screen update tasks. Use this setting if you experience inconsistent QuickTime movie playback with the Normal setting.

Highest This setting gives QuickTime movie playback highest priority. In this mode, Pro Tools disables screen activity and requires you to use the Spacebar to stop playback. Use this setting if you require uninterrupted QuickTime movie playback.

High Quality QuickTime Image
When enabled, Pro Tools decompresses both fields of each interlaced frame of QuickTime video. When viewing a QuickTime movie in the Pro Tools Video window, select this option to display the movie at the highest possible resolution. Deselecting this option can help improve performance if your system experiences problems playing back a session with QuickTime video.
