Brilliant. I was just about to reply to say that I've found the drivers in Digidesign's archive, when you beat me to it. thanks for your help. It seems that Superdisk.com is no more, and Imation have taken down all support files for these drives, so if it waasn't for the digi archive here there'd be no recourse. Alarming!

Oh, and I really really appreciate the offer of help there John, thanks a heap.

Someone gave me a USB Imation SuperDisk a while back. Now I know to guard it with my life

I used -still have(..and random use) a Teac FD-05PUW.Always Worked with Floppy Auth.
I remember the price of the Imation SuperDisk,(3 times more than the Teac).....wasted money
The Pace Auth Scheme, those days had to do with the drive mechanism(that had to be Sony)

As long as the Drive wont get formatted, the auth count is still there, and as far as i remember if the HD was partitioned the auth was kind of splitted between the partitions. Also if i remember well a few plugz(like TC) even when doing a format_not LowLevel_they would preserve the Auth Count.

Decided to post here in order not to open new thread...

I have Mac G4 with OS 9 and Pro Tools 5.1.3.
There are some TDM plug-ins that require floppy authorizers. I have
bought an external VST USB Floppy Drive for that purpose (model
FDUSB-M). But I can not find drivers for this FDD on the web to make
it work properly (VST's official web site is closed and all links are dead).

I see some of you have VST FDD guys.
Can somebody share those drivers?
Or could you please advise where can I find them?

I remember just using it as is, it kicked some sort of error when booting up with the drive attached but it worked just fine for Authorizing and De-authorizing.
