iPad Pro 10.5 and PT Dock

Hi,

I wonder if the new form factor will fit into the Dock? According to specs it is slightly longer then the previous 9.7... anyone tried?

Its 11mm wider...We are going to mock it up next week but if anyone has one already please let me know?

just tried, and unfortunately not! it's just about a millimeter too wide to fit

check, it jussstt doen't align properly, and more important, (where I'm pointing with my finger) the lightning connector isn't aligned with the 'gap' on the dock on the side, so you can't power it

Is this with or without the adapter that goes behind the iPad ?

Hi Eddie, this is without the small additional adapter (which is meant for support for iPad mini I guessed) to be sure I attached a picture of the bracket I placed it in. (so where the gaps in the bracket on left and right side don't align with the lighting connector port on the 10,5" model)

Yeah if you just add that adapter that pushes the iPad forward a bit it definitely looks like you would be able to charge it that way. I use an angled lightning connector for my 9.7 iPad Pro for this purpose.

Mmm I took the discussion as it does not fit properly even with the adapter. I own that new iPad and am thinking about a Dock so also curious. With Eddie paying attention and helping out folks maybe he can clarify if/that Avid is doing an adapter to support this. Really appreciate his presence on DUC.

I did find an answer from Eddie in another thread that seems to answer my question:
