Not so sure. My plan ends in 4 days and that’s what they’re telling me on my account. From what I’ve read, people were saying that, for example, 3 days before their plan was ending they were having messages saying they had 33 days left.

In any event, I’ll let you know in 5 days...

Blink

PS. Well, in my case, since the reinstatement price is the same as renewal because of the current ‘promo”, you could say I have a 26-days grace period but, anyway....

Okay, paid the $199 to reinstate my perpetual license which expired at 12.4. My question now is- when do I need to activate it? Can I put it off for a while? Will it expire if I don't activate by the end of the year?

Not at all reasonable.... I’ve just heard about this and the discount to upgrade....$599 is still too much for software that’s not awesome

I’ll keep 12.4/12.5.2 - I have yet to try 12.8 and I have had access to that for a few years now.

Oh Avid you missed it again.

I'm honestly truly sorry to say: y'all have lost it.
your owner at said nameless studio is full of it :)

It raised my eyebrows for sure but it wouldn't be the first time a "house-hold" name in pro audio gave him free stuff just for visibility. He's spent (and continues to spend) enough money in the sector so it's not like he's running on handouts, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised.

I will however remove the statement from my original post as I don't have any proof and it's an off-topic moot point that doesn't further the discussion at hand.

That I would like to know, but starting to know the greediness off Avid I’m pretty sure they will not let you activated whenever you want/need to.

Probably because it clearly states that namecalling and insults of members or Avid and other companies is not allowed so that ”might” be the reason.

Lets stay off the trash talk and inappropriate wording as we all know how most feel and no need to get this thread closed due to breaking the Forum Guidelines please

Thanks jscomposer, actually I saw where Avid has a special of $199 for the perpetual.
