Default DAE error -9060 & -9073 "disk frag or too slow" with new LaCie FireWire Drive!

I have had my 400mhz G4 now for 3 years using a Seagate 18gb SCSI audio dirve. And my 10gb apple drive for PT 5.1software. Absolutely no problems ever!! I heard that the new Oxford 911 chipsets in recent FireWire drives could allow for 24 track audio recording/editing etc. But I can't record 8 tracks simultaneously, or play back more than, oh say 15 tracks! Do I need to do some sort of configuring to my set up? Or are these FireWire drives mainly assosiated only for Audio Archiving?

I have also heard that the new ATA 7200 drives are almost up to par with SCSI? Anybody know?

Thanks in advance for your kind advice.

Check out the new Idaho album, incredible!!
