Default Celemony Announces Melodyne 4

It looks like Celemony is finally coming out with Melodyne 4. Sounds like a lot of new features will be coming. They're saying Wednesday this week.

As long as they make it more stable than the last one and fix the transport de-sync, I'll buy the upgrade.

I hope they have a good upgrade path for existing users, and more importantly, I hope they qualify it for Mountain Lion or else it'll be a no-go for sure for me.

EDIT: Looks like it IS qualified for Mountain Lion and there are good upgrade paths...Good times!

I was wondering how much better they could make it, but after watching the video, all I can say is "HOLY CR....." Geez, its a full-on sound design tool now. If I read it right, Melodyne Editor owners can upgrade to the new top version for $149. I'll be on that bandwagon

What I'm wondering about is I own Melodyne studio 3 which if I remember rightly includes Melodyne editor 2. If I upgrade my studio to studio 4 does it also upgrade editor 2 also ??

I would shoot Celemony an email on that. I would expect the new version to replace the old, but you may have hit the grey area
