Spinning wheel of death when adjusting video
I have updateed to PT 7.3.1 and have noticed that now when I move or edit my video anywhere along my time line I get the spinning ball of death for about 30 seconds. This never used to happen. If I turn off the video to output through firewire and us the movie screen everything works fine. I am using a G5 2gig with OS 10.4.8. and 1.5 gig ram. The work around works well, but I am wondering if there is anything else to try so I don't have to do this?

Re: Spinning wheel of death when adjusting video
Have you tried trashing preferences yet?
What types of drives are you using for your video and audio? Which firewire video peripheral are you using? |

Re: Spinning wheel of death when adjusting video
video has been played back off of, Internal drives, firewire 400/800 Lacie Drives. Have trashed preferences. And I am using the canapus ADVC 100. All of which I was using before the upgrade. I did the pt7 upgrade the same time I updated to Tiger, for what it is worth.
Thanks Colin |
