Default no sound is playing

Well i re installed pro tools last night as I was having some problems with it, which I stated in a previous post. My current issue is that I saved all of my sessions from before I re installed pro tools. The session files, the audio files, and the fade files, its all there. So I open up a session in pro tools and everything looks cool, all the tracks are listed with the recorded sound waves showing up for each track. Yet when I press play, it shows the session playing, however I cant hear anything. i was wondering if anyone knows what the issue might be?

Is the mute button on in your hardware?
Reinstalling protools resets your prefernces - make sure that the i/o is correct, that the Digi hardware is selected in the Hardware setup.
