Default Leave Mbox 2 Pro powered on or off all the time?

2 quick questions:

Seeing as it MBox 2 Pro doesn't have a power button, I leave it on all the time with my Power Mac tower...

1. Is it better to leave the AC Adaptor plugged in, or no since I'm not using a laptop and apparently the firewire connection can power the Mbox?

2. Should I disconnect the firewire ever, or can the thing stay on forever?
