-1 for me now.

I solved my issue.

I sucked it up and bought a Mac Pro. Installed PT 10.0.1 on Snow Leopard 10.6.8. Things have been working flawlessly!!

It's nice to be able to finally work after a month!!

Sorry Windows, it's time for me to say Goodbye to you. We had a good run, but now it is time to move on.

It would be nice to know what systems everyone is running that is having these problems just to see if there is something in common. I just got PT 10 (Win 7 i7 build) and I haven't had a problem yet now that I have my new interface. Fingers crossed that I don't join the club.

I didn't buy new, I bought refurbished and it was a switch I have been wanting to make for the last 10 years.

I'm not saying for everyone to do it.
I'm just saying for me all this crap with Windows was enough to get me to make the jump that I have been wanting to make. It was the extra push I needed.

To answer the other question, I was on a 2 year old Windows 7 Professional machine with a 64bit OS install, i7 quad core processor, 12 gigs of ram and Pro Tools 10.0.1. The machine was used for nothing but audio and the only other program it ran was WaveLab 7.

I had it with the Windows experience period. I develop Database Web Applications during the day and as I said, I just had it with Windows. The PC machines were never built for Audio or Graphics but yet we keep trying. They were built to run Office applications. Period!!

Call me a goose stepper, I just wanted to be able to work and Windows and the PC were failing me at every turn, not just in the Audio department.
It's not without giving something up. I have been building PCs since 1997 and the idea of losing some of that 'freedom' is nerve racking, but as I said, I just want to be able to record and mix without hassles.
